Suede and the Gulf climate are not natural friends. The good news is that a few small habits make an enormous difference.
Let them rest
Never wear the same suede pair two days running. A day in a breathable dust bag lets the nap recover.
Brush, don’t scrub
A soft suede brush in one direction lifts dust without flattening the surface.
Keep them dry
If they get damp, stuff with tissue and dry away from direct sun. Never use a radiator or hairdryer.
Protect before the first wear
A water-repellent spray applied evenly before the first outing is the single best investment.
